Pure enjoyment in South Tyrolean restaurants in Lajen
As an old traditional house the guesthouse “Zur Krone” has original South Tyrolean Stuben which invite you to stop for a bite to eat. Toni, the head of the house, does his own cooking and brings Tyrolean plain fare and Italian flair onto the table. Guests always enjoy the typical South Tyrolean Schlutzkrapfen and the Spinatknödel (spinach dumplings). Osso buco, polenta and all sorts of pasta assume the Italian part. Even the pizza oven leaves nothing to be desired.
During your spring holiday in the Eisack Valley, you can expect fresh and crunchy asparagus dishes. South Tyrolean speck, dumplings and much more can be tasted in autumn on a funny "Törggele" evening.
Local wines, like a light red Portuguese from the nearby Lajener Ried, are available to accompany your meal.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and serves a la carte as well as a choice of menu.
